In reverse Zapota means Topaz with a missing ”A”. In its natural state Topaz comes in golden brown. Besides a brown hue, Topaz actually has an exceptionally wide colour range. From honey yellow to cyclamen pink, to fierce reddish imperial shade, and icy blue.
In warm or cool tones, Topaz is a lustrous and brilliant gem.
Zapota Hair LTD is a London based premium hair accessory brand built around the concept of redefining hair. Our starting point has been hair.
We’ve been using premium quality hair extensions and synthetic pieces for a variety of creative projects such as hair installations, displays and upcycling.
We thus offer a Hair Craft line consisting of fashion and hair products designed to bring artistic value. Hair and gemstones are key components in the upcycling process.
We monitor our supply chain to ensure that the hair is obtained from ethical and non-exploitative sources

The gemstones are extracted from the mine all around the world. We try the best we can to monitor our supply chain to ensure that gemstones are obtained from ethical and non-exploitative sources.

Having grown up in Congo then in France, Azi developed an eye for the effortlessly chic, impeccable craftsmanship, and creativity.
After studying Fashion Marketing in Paris and worked in London for emerging designers, she found that designing Hair Accessories was the perfect expression of her creative vision.
Zapota hair’s journey with hair projects begins around 2016.
Having worked in Hatton Gardens London’s jewellery-craftmanship district, then the eponymous Place Vendôme in Paris, she thus enrolled in gemmology and jewellery studies with the prestigious GIA Institute in 2020.
A new shift then begins for the brand with product development around gemstones, with an emphasis on topaz.
